Principle:

PDT is based on photodynamic effects. This is a kind of aerobic molecules involved with the biological effects of photosensitization reaction. The process is a specific wavelength of the laser irradiation of the photosensitizer absorbed by the organization is excited, and the excited state of the photosensitizer in turn to the energy transfer to the surrounding oxygen, strong activity to generate singlet oxygen, singlet oxygen and adjacent biological Molecular oxidative reaction, resulting in cytotoxicity, leading to cell damage and even death.

LED Phototherapy is based on the principle that living cells are able to absorb and are influenced by light. The treatment involves exposing the skin to low levels of beneficial light energy from the visible and infrared part of the light spectrum which energise cellular functions to stimulate various cellular processes with therapeutic effects. It is a natural response similar to that of plant photo-synthesis through a process known as photobiomodulation.

How does it work?
When lights of specific wavelength work on the endogenous and exogenous photoactive substances in the biological tissue, optical energy will be absorbed and active oxygen will be produced. Active oxygen interacts with all kinds of biomacromolecule to achieve the effectiveness of treatment.
